The school follows a curriculum of non-formal as well as formal schooling, merged with the philosophy of alternative schooling with specialized teaching methodologies. Every child receives specialized guidance and individual education plans (IEPs) according to the child’s developmental age, current level of functioning and the type of disability. Each child undergoes a psycho-educational and behavioural assessment not only at the time of admission but at the beginning of each year, which helps the special educators and psychologists to prepare the IEP. Each IEP is highly structured, goal oriented and outcome focused with emphasis on music, art, dance, handicrafts and other artistic activities that enable for flow of expression, inner harmony and creativity. Yoga and physical exercise, speech therapy and other specialized therapies (Applied Behaviour Analysis, Sensory Integration Therapy, Behaviour Modification Program etc.) are also included as a part of the child’s individualized education program. With constant monitoring and evaluation of these IEPs, each child is assured to receive the best therapeutic intervention for the wholistic growth and accelerated development.
